Wat Thung Si Wilai is Located in Ban Chi Thuan, Chi Thuan Subdistrict, Khueang Nai District, Ubon Ratchathani. Construction date is unknown as it is an old temple. There are multi-layered parapet leaves around the temple. Phraphutthawiset is a laterite Buddha image in the posture of subduing Naga in Dvaravati era, more than a thousand years ago. It is 55 centimetres wide, 90 centimetres tall. Currently, it is enshrined in Vihara of Wat Thung Si Wilai, Ban Chi Thuan. It is considered as the priceless Buddha image of Chi Thuan villagers and nearby subdistricts. People bring flowers, incense sticks and candles to worship in order to make a wish. When a new born child is not healthy, parents will go to pray for their children and perform the ceremony to give their son or daughter to Phraphutthawiset. There are many successful results from people who made a wish. There are many more stories about the power of the miracle of Phraphutthawiset. Anyone who has come to worship often has faith in Phraphutthawiset and achieved what he desires in that thing. People go to the temple almost everyday especially on the 15th day of the waxing moon or the 14th and 15th lunar month, which is an important day in Buddhism. Moreover, on the full moon day of the 5th lunar month every year, the locals and nearby villagers will organize a celebration for Phraphuttawiset for 3 days and 3 nights (14,15th waxing moon and 1st waxing moon of the 5th lunar month), which is known as the “Annual Luang Pho Phuthawiset Gilding Ceremony”
